IEC Memorial Scholarships
The Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives (AIEC) awards seventeen $2,500 scholarships each year. These scholarships and student eligibility are listed below:
Ten scholarships are awarded to students who are the sons or daughters of an Illinois electric cooperative consumer-member receiving service from the cooperative.
Five scholarships are reserved for students enrolling full-time at a two- year Illinois community college who are the sons or daughters of Illinois electric cooperative consumer-members, employees or directors.
One scholarship, the Earl W. Struck Memorial Scholarship, is awarded to a student who is the son or daughter of an Illinois electric cooperative employee or director.
One scholarship, the LaVern and Nola McEntire Lineworker’s Scholarship (link is external), is awarded to a student to attend the lineworker’s school conducted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in conjunction with Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, IL.
Rend Lake Community College
Tri-County Electric Cooperative awards a $1,000 tuition scholarship annually to a son or daughter of a Tri-County member.

Kaskaskia Community College
Tri-County Electric Cooperative awards a $1,000 scholarship annually to a son or daughter of a Tri-County member. Applications are available from high school counselors or at Kaskaskia College. Deadline for application is generally around January 31st.
